Qurbani in Afghanistan

The Kalaam Project will be doing Qurbani on Eid Al Adha in Kabul, Afghanistan. The qurbani will be broken down in portions and distributed to families who have not had meat in months. Meat is considered a luxury meal in Afghanistan because of how expensive it is. We will be sacrificing lambs, the pricing varies depending on the size. We will also be offering 1/7 portions to sacrifice a cow. 7 people can contribute to this qurbani. Prices vary depending on the size of the animal. Conversion rates continue to drop and prices continue to rise, the breakdown is listed below.

Lamb (Small to Large):

$180-$245 USD

Cow 1/7 Portion (Qurbani broken down in 7 portions, each person contributes)

1/7: $100 USD 

The Prophet pbuh. said, "It is the Sunnah of your father Ibrahim (as). For every hair of the Qurbani you recieve a reward from Allah SWT."
